Notes From the Office - April 2023
- The Unit Bond for 2022, 2023 and 2024 are due and payable to the Department now.
Each Unit is responsible for their share, which is $15.50 per Unit, total, for all 3 years.
Please send your check into the Department ASAP. Under the ‘memo’ section of the
check please write ‘Unit Bond”.
The following Units bonds are not paid, you need to send your payment ASAP please.
1st – 80, 2nd – 50, 174, 204, 3rd – 177, 4th–91, 5th – 4, 9, 6th - 28
- “Remit to Form 2023-2024” is attached to this Auxiliare. It is very, very important that
this form is in the Department Office by May 1, 2023. It reflects what your Units dues
will be for the upcoming year as well as who/where your members’ dues will be sent to.
With the increase in dues on both the National and Department levels for the 2023-2024
year I will guess that the majority of the Units will be increasing their dues for this
coming year. This “Remit to Form 2023-2024” is needed to do that by May 1, 2023.
- Year End Reports for 2022-2023 have been sent out to Unit Presidents and Unit
Secretaries in a zip file. They will also be available on our website. It is the Unit
Presidents’ and Unit Secretaries’ responsibility to have these reports completed and sent
via US Mail or email to each Department Chairman by the due date on each individual
Year End Report form. The due date and Chairman information is located at the bottom
of each report. These reports are used for many things, awards at our Convention as well
as numbers get reported to National. National uses the numbers to secure funding for our
Veterans. They are important.
- ALAMIS forms are available on our website for those of you that still need to request
access. I strongly suggest your Membership Chairman has Full Access. It saves a lot of
paperwork.
- When sending checks to the office please do not staple the check to any paperwork- a
post-it note works well to keep the check with the papers. Donations for all general
programs (Americanism, AEF, Children and Youth etc.) can be sent in one check.
Donations for Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation must be on a separate check. Example if
sending for AEF and Americanism and any VA&R program- please send 2 checks.
- When sending membership to the office, please make sure to use the correct year’s
transmittal form. Use back dues transmittal only for previous years dues – make sure to
indicate if it is Senior or Junior and what year is being paid. When sending a new
member’s information – keep the application and all supporting information in your unit -
transfer all the information onto a Member Data Form and include that form with the
transmittal. If you are in need of transmittal forms or data sheets contact the office and
we will send them to you.
- When mailing anything to the Department office, send it to P. O. Box 266, Rocky Hill, CT
06067.
